Local mute is a common PA function where one or more speakers are disconnected when a specific access panel is used. This is commonly used when there are a high probablity of feedback.

Assigning Local Mute to a Control Output
To assign the function Local Mute to an Control Output:
- In Components view, open Output Actions
- In System, identify the Controller, the Amplifier or the Access Panel to be used, and expand to Device > Control Outputs.
- Drag Local Mute to the Control Output you want to use.
Configuration example
When a specific Source sends audio to a specified Zone, the output will be operated
The output is used to mute a nearby loudspeaker
- Drag Local Mute to the desired Control Output.
- Select the desired source in Source.
- In Zone select the zone that the desired speaker is part of.
Audio activity
Image shows how Control output 1 should trigger when "ECPIR-3P A1" is used in Zone 1. This implies that the access panel is placed in an area covered by zone 1. If the access panel sends Live speech into zone 1 the function will trigger, but if it sends the live speech to any other zone it will not trigger. Other activity, such as message control or similar will not trigger this activity as the source must be the access panel itself.
Note that the live speech needs to have a priority inside the priority range. Setting the priority range to 1-100 will ensure that it will always trigger.
