This article explains the compatibility between the different Flowire units and the different software versions.
There are 3 different Flowire models:
The following table shows software versions needed in FCDC1/2 or EX-stations to achieve compatibility between FCDC3 and FCDC1, FCDC2 and EX-stations.
Old software for FCDC1/2 and EX-stations is 4.1.3.12 and older.
New software for FCDC1/2 and EX-stations is 4.1.3.13 and newer.
Stations | FCDC3 | FCDC1/2 & EX-Station w/old SW |

Updating EX-stations to version 4.1.2.13 must be done by using a FCDC1/2.
Spare Part Scenarios
Redundant Exigo A-B configuration
- Replacing a FCDC1/2 or EX-stations with old software with FCDC1/2 or same type EX-station with old software: No additional actions needed.
- Replacing one or more of the FCDC1/2 with old software with FCDC3 in a system with FCDC1/2 or EX-stations still in cluster: Update remaining FCDC1/2 and EX-stations with new software. Update of EX-stations must be done using a FCDC1/2.
